A day to remember

On May 30th Abbey and Trevor played in a soccer tournament. They each played 4 games and after those 4 games whichever teams had the most points (2 teams) played the championship game. The games were actually more fun to watch than regular season games because they were shorter. Each half was 12 minutes. There was no goalie and only 4 players on the field at once. The field was also half the size of a normal field. The great thing was that only 1 game of Trevor's overlapped with Abbey's so we watched all the games. Both kids won all 4 games and went to the championship game. Now instead of watching 8 games we watched 10 games total. We got there at 8:30and left at 5 p.m.

Trevor played a really hard team for the last two games. The one team lost their sportsmanship points because the coaches were obnoxious and loud. The team they played for the championship was very good. They passed, played defense and offense better than anyone they had played all day. Plus, the kids were tired by that time and it just didn't work out. One boy was crying after the game and all of them were disappointed. I do think it made them feel better to know they got a trophy.

Abbey's team was awesome to. They won all 4 games easily and even won the championship easily. Abbey was a little upset because she felt she didn't feel she got enough playing time but I thought is was fair. During the regular season Abbey was the only star on her team and got lots of playing time. On this team there were a lot of good players and she felted shorted. All is all I think she felt it didn't matter just as long as they won.

It was a great day and one to be remembered because I don't know if something this cool will ever happen again. 1st and 2nd place!
